The Shake 5 is an awesome sound system. Turning it all the way up for the first time, while listening to Linkin Park, with the "Bass Bazuka" on put a smile to my face. This system is a raw chest beating monster perfect for anyone looking to host a party or just enjoy their music loud.... very loud. This particular model it seems is getting replaced by the Shake 77, and i would not hesitate in purchasing that because this system is such a well built, loud, and fun unit.

These speakers are amazing, The bass stands out the most and the quality is awesome. The design and the easy to use sound system and the glowing lights just work. Lower the price a little bit though

It's OK,I guess,,but bass starts to distort at half volume & without the Subwoofers it would have a very cheap ordinary sound indeed.It has no mid-range depth. Not much sound adjustment either, very basic. Does a few good things like: smartphone connect at the press of a button, records to usb. It also has flashing mood lights if you like that sort of thing, thankfully they can be turned off. Speakers look cheap with shiny plastic inserts & the huge volume control nob has an uneven surface with cheap plastic chrome. Sony claims that the output is 600w rms x4 (2400w in total)...But since its input draws up to 320W, its total output must be lower than 320W, total, regardless of the speakers' impedance and number of channels driven. Output power simply can't exceed input power. Systems which claim to do so (audio, mechanical, or anything else) are called perpetual motion machines. There's no such thing. For example, it's impossible for it to produce 160W/channel, 2 channels driven, or 80W/channel, 4 channels driven. How much below the 320W maximum depends on its efficiency, its load, and (probably) other factors. But sound doesn't lie. Only has 2x analogue input (RCA Type) jacks which downgrades any digital audio input. Not a high class system. All up its an OK system if you don't mind loud distorted average quality sound.
