    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the X80L Google TV very lightweight and with the bezel at a minimum gave a great impression of being a larger screen. I have our TV in our conservatory and reflections can be an issue screen coped well with it during daylight hours no problems during the evening. The colours are very vibrant and with excellent speakers very happy with that. I would say that give yourself some time for the setup reasonably straightforward. Although it is something that you can easily go back to to tweak your preferences. The TV stand feet for me were an issue in that they were too long as I have the TV standing on a shelf and had to purchase a small tabletop Vesa stand from a well-known online retailer which I was happy to do as it tidied up the area. Would I recommend this product most certainly has great ease of use and value, and build quality as all Sony products are of a high standard. I was given this TV by Sony as a product tester. I am a 74-year-old Male in the United Kingdom. I am the owner of twelve Sony products and rate them highly and have no problem recommending Sony to a friend

    A Super TV
    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting up this TV is really quick and easy. The instructions are very straightforward and easy to follow and after adding the stand feet (there is an option to use a wall mounted bracket), adding batteries (supplied) to the 2 remotes, and going through the self guide start up to link to my WiFi etc I was watching TV within 15 minutes from opening the box. This TV has excellent picture and sound quality. I really liked that one button on the remote takes you to the settings menu (a bar at the bottom the of screen) where it is easy to adjust the picture quality (7 settings plus brightness levels) to suit your own taste or programme/use type and the change is immediately visible on the screen so you can determine if it is an improvement or not. The warnings about using more power for brighter settings are interesting, but might be more useful if they gave an indication of power savings/increases (eg this setting uses x% more/less power than the standard setting) rather than just a message that this change will increase the power usage compared with the default configuration. Further, once I get to know which settings use more power continual reminders might become annoying. But these are very minor issues as this TV has excellent picture quality where fast motion (eg sport) is very smooth, and everything is very sharp with clear colours. There are 3 power setting (2 Economy modes) which make sense in the current climate and give an indication of how to save power. The sound quality is also excellent. During set up the TV calibrated the dynamics of my room to help determine the best sound required. The sound is so good, I doubt external speakers would make much improvement without considerable expense. If you choose this TV, I recommend that you try out the in built sound before considering investing in any additional external speakers. I use a high quality sound system (soundbar, subwoofer, rear speakers etc) with another TV and I can recommend this TV’s inbuilt speakers. All in all, this TV looks good, is easy to use, has an excellent picture and sound quality. A super TV in keeping with Sony’s high standards. I recommend it.

    More than the Basics Sony Bravia X80L
    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony Bravia X80L is a mid-range 4K HDR LED TV that offers a good balance of features and price. It has a sharp picture with good color reproduction, and its X-Balanced speakers provide clear sound with good bass. It also supports Google TV, which gives you access to a wide variety of streaming content. However, the X80L does have some weaknesses. Its contrast ratio is not as good as some of its competitors, and its black levels can be a bit muddy in dark scenes. It also lacks local dimming, which can cause some blooming around bright objects in dark scenes. Overall, the Sony Bravia X80L is a good TV for the price. It offers a good picture and sound quality, and it supports Google TV. However, if you're looking for the best possible picture quality, you may want to consider a more expensive model with local dimming. Pros: Sharp picture with good color reproduction Clear sound with good bass Supports Google TV Good value for the price Cons: Not as good contrast ratio as some competitors Black levels can be a bit muddy in dark scenes Lacks local dimming
