The 2019 firmware was a long awaited improvement. Previously it had several issues, when I switched on my system that hadn't been used for a day or more, it would power up then switch off. The sound of my rear surround satellite was distorted. Gracenote features seemed to slow down the system or show incorrect meta data, eg, it would show I had a Blu-ray in the tray that I removed several days ago. Gracenote was removed in the 2019 update and I found those other issues I mentioned were also fixed. That's good news because the sound of the speakers is excellent, the surround speakers are wireless, the bass is superb, and the footprint of the satelites is fairly small.

The system is a replacement for a previous Sony system that developed an unrepairable fault but this sytem is superlative. Sady although there are several preset ways in which the sound can be changed, there is no tone control for bass or treble which is a pity as elerly people tend to need the high frequencies boosted. It is make memory flashes unable and not working anymore and has lots of parasites on the picture, also free most of time, I just didn't have expected have such problems with it!
