The speed can be varied, and there are little inscriptions that tell you which speed is best for which attachment. I also have the pasta roller attachments and they work beautifully. The handle of the bowl makes it easy to pour out mixes. The attachments are easy to attach and remove. Looks better than other mixers out there in my opinion There is little bit of noise from the motor but that's expectedLegendary service
