You can use the low frequency cut-off filter to reduce the wind and environmental noise, and swap left and right audio channel based on the orientation of the device, which is great for recording video.
When used with the ShurePlus MOTIV App for iOS, the MV88 will allow you to record high quality ALAC and AAC compressed audio, with a five band equaliser, high resolution metering and 36dB of gain control. If you'd rather focus on the task at hand, preset DSP modes will automatically adjust gain, equalisation and compression for you.
