You Must Buy a Schweigen
This is the second Schweigen Silent Rangehood we have had. This is an absolute must in any kitchen. As a real estate agent, I advise all my clients that are either building or renovating that save money elsewhere and put one of these in. As I explain to my clients, you can have it on high and still have a normal conversation in the kitchen. If you opt for a cheap noisy one this happens: 1) You cannot hear 2) You speak louder 3) The kids cannot hear the TV 4) They turn it up 5) You speak louder as you cannot hear 6) The kids turn the TV up more 7) You end up shouting at everyone to be quiet. 8) You turn the range hood off as its pointless. Then.... 9) You buy a silent Schweigen and life is quieter and more enjoyable!

Best Upgrade to the Kitchen for an avid home chef
The new Schweigen range hood which i purchased to replace my older generic range hood that came with the build was well worth the investment. I do a lot of cooking with fragrant aromatics which in the past resulted in the bedrooms smelling like the kitchen. Since installing the new unit, I can do all my cooking without having to worry abut the whole house smelling. The silent functionality is best in class and I find I am not shouting at others when talking in the kitchen area. Best test so far is when I cook fish and curries without worrying about the smell going through the whole house of having to open all the windows to vent the house especially in winter. The filters are also very easy to clean and the best function is the Shutoff time delay which allows you to set it such it will shut off 15 minutes after use.

Powerful and so quiet!
The best purchase we made in the kitchen! It is so quiet, perfect in our open-planned kitchen and living space. The kids can watch the TV without turning it up and I can speak with the wife without yelling over a noisy rangehood. Highly recommended!

Good Morning, Thank you for this product question, brands that use an external motor are extremely quiet inside your kitchen and therefore there is no need to quote a noise level as the motor is outside your property, customers are wanting to know the answer to the noise level when the motor is within in rangehood inside your kitchen, the stronger the air movement the louder the machine and suppliers normally include the noise level from low to high. Hullo, our ceiling height is 3300 (mm) and the reach is only 1190 which would mean the range hood would be 2100 above finished floor level (too high.) Do you sell extension flue lengths? Do I need to get extension pieces custom made? Anonymous · 2023-02-21
Good Morning, Thank you for this product question, looking at the overall height of 3300mm less bench height of 900mm= 2400mm less the distance from the top of the cooktop to the underside of the rangehood I allowed 650mm as this will work with gas or electric provides 1750mm less the overall height of 1190mm= 560mm remaining sorry to say that most suppliers do not provide extension flues leaving you with a couple of options: 1: Take the bottom flue piece to a Stainless Fabricator and have a single piece made at the correct height which will look 100% better than having one or two joins. 2: Have a bulkhead made by your installer that would attach to your ceiling supports then your rangehood would attach to this bulkhead.
