This M8500 has no memory. If you stop a movie playback midway, power off the player, it will always start from the beginning when you resume playback later and does not restart from where you left off the last time. Don't buy this product unless this is fixed.

It appears this player has no memory. When a movie was stopped during playback and the machine turned off, it always starts from the beginning when it was powered on again. It doesn't remember the last position the disk has stopped and continue the playback from there on.

I have other Samsung blu-ray players that I'm very happy with. I bought this unit because it's advertised as a region free player. A label on the rear panel claims this player will play in regions A,B &C. However, when I tried playing region B discs, it would not play.
