We all bought into the concept of Samsung One Connect Box. This is that promise made to yourself.UPGRADE YOUR TV. Improvement? yes most def. A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE WITH A SAMSUNG F9000.

I am disappointed with this product. The picture quality pales in comparison to the original box with a washed out picture and reduced contrast making the image appear softer. All the recent firmware updates have not fixed the problem. The idea of a separate upgradable control box was a peach but this product has fallen well below my expectations and is only used now as a very expensive doorstop.

I started out being quite happy with my SEK-2500U but after using it for a while, I find that there are too many issues with the firmware. The box will turn on, off by itself, it will sometime lock select TV-channels (parental lock), and it will lose select configuration settings (e.g. the setup for external speakers). Even the latest firmware (version 1180) does not solve all the issues. This is not OK – not what one would expect from a company like Samsung.
