    This filter is intended for use with compatible Samsung front load washing machines. If the filter is used with non-Samsung washing machines, Samsung's warranty is limited to the filter only. Drain pump dimensions need to be within 20-22mm for installation. If used with non-Samsung machines, water drain time may be longer than usual and effectiveness of filter may vary. Must be installed higher than the washing machine drain.

    Great idea, poor execution
    This is a fantastic idea, as microplastics in water is a huge issue, however this machine has been such a problem. It consistently makes my Samsung washing machine have a “check drainage” error (the drain is absolutely not blocked and the machine is almost new) and the mesh filter ripped fairly quickly. When I called Samsung to try and replace the mesh, I was asked a bunch of irrelevant questions and then told that the mesh filter isn’t sold without buying the entire unit. Either make a better quality product, or ensure that replacement parts are available - you are contributing to the problem.

    Has actually removed some lint from the wastewater
    Bought in mid-2024, this device has performed reasonably. It doesn't seem to trap microfibers as well as I expected, but it has been working to a degree. There were some initial hiccups with installation, where I mounted it on the top of the washing machine, and it cause the machine to error. Raising the mounting to 30 cm or so above the machine fixed the problem. Recently though, I noticed fibers were not being trapped in the filter. Inspection revealed that the plastic mesh screen had torn. As far as I can ascertain, there is no replacement screen available, despite this being an easily removable part. It's inside warranty though, so back to the vendor it goes.

    This is not environmentally friendly
    Unit failed just over a month in, single person household washing 1 maybe twice a week. Installation on top of washer started failing just over a month after purchase and in no way near the recommened clean time filter is basicallyempty each time i clean it. Reviewed very limited instructions online and cleaned unit after every wash is the only way it will possibly function. I have a samsung washer dryer and it works perfectly without this unit attached. I would not recommend this item. Purchasing it does not help the environment, it has a negative effect due to the ineffective nature of the unit.
