I purchased this item knowing that it is not specifically designed for the Galaxy S 6 Edge phones. I just wanted something to protect the phone from a clumsy moment. It works okay but the phone and camera buttons do not move up into the window like they should. It does wake the phone up when opened. Also it allows me to charge the phone wirelessly without taking it out of the case. Will wait and see if there is a software update or a different flip-cover is offered for the Edge. Till then I am ok with my flip cover but slightly annoyed the accessories were not available at product launch.

I bought this case for my S6 because it seemed to maintain a nice design with a fair amount of durablity at first glance, overall it's ok, but the top, right side, and bottom aren't protected enough so small items can scrape it (friend had this problem ). So putting it in a purse could scuff it unless you have it in its own personal pocket. But very good at protection and design, overall a very recommended case if you want style with durability. But of course if you want a more rugged case and do not have any ideas, look at the otterbox cases.

As someone who also has the official Samsung case for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and very much likes it, I am disappointed with Samsung's View Cover case for the GS6. Although it is a nice looking case, completing the official Samsung look, and has nice features such as the view port on the front that has been accommodated in software with a well-done custom lockscreen interface that can be used through the cover, it has issues with respect to the materials used and/or structural design. After 2 weeks of careful-normal use, the upper right and lower right corners have started to show cracks in the plastic that hold the phone with a large piece of the bottom right corner finally breaking off while the phone was in my pocket (dress pants, not tight jean pockets). It is only a matter of time till the extra stress on the top-right corner causes it to also break. At best, it will likely fail to protect the phone in case of any fall (which I stress no falls have been taken yet with my phone) and at worst it simply will not hold the phone anymore, rendering the case practically useless. I had not expected this from an official Samsung case.
