Samsung Quality drops off after it hits a few years old, so does not hold value and is poor quality...can not recommend these made to last short time products

Good performer
Budget Blu-ray player.Annoying that it has no front panel display or leds' to indicate that set is still powered up. Works fine with late model tv sets but near useless with older (6yro) flat panel set.Purchased this just to enable usb file playback on an older flat panel tv set,for that it is ok.

No power light creates confusion
This player works OK, but does not have any display, or even a single light, to indicate that it is switched on. Instead it relies totally on displaying information via your TV screen. That is kind of OK for DVD/Blu-ray, but not so handy if you're just playing a CD.

Hello Wattsie, Thank you for your enquiry regarding the Samsung BD-H4500 Blu-ray player. Blu-ray players are even stricter than DVDs with their being region-locked - the vast majority of Blu-Ray players sold in Australia, including this Samsung model, are only able to play Region B Blu-Ray discs, which covers Africa, the Middle East, Southwest Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and their dependencies.
