Lots of useless outputs "Coaxial LAN digital 5.8 interceptor" anyone? and not many of the basic ones... like you know "Audio" or something.

This little player comes at a good price, but is also loaded with features. Apart from playing DVDs and Blue-Ray discs, the player can be connected to your home network to stream content from devices that support DLNA. If you have internet access you can also stream YouTube, Facebook and Netflix (I know Netflix is not available in RSA yet, but I heard rumors that it will be soon). Firmware updates from the internet is also nice - although the last firmware update was in 2014, so it is unlikely that Samsung will update the firmware again. Two features that are missing and would have earned this player five stars from me, are: 1. Surround sound - Audio output on this unit is only 2ch stereo, not 5.1ch surround - a bit dissappointing 2. Smarthub - This player has network access, yet it does not have Smarthub and you cannot Screencast to it from your smartphone or tablet like you can with Samsung's smart TVs - I am not sure if the hardware in the unit could handle something like Smarthub, but if it can, maybe Samsung could update the firmware to include this feature? Please Samsung? Pretty please? Overall I am happy with this unit - it is great value for money.

It's compact and perfect for my bedroom set up. Aesthetically correct as well. Love the fact that it's easy to navigate.
