Very bad HDR implementation
Absolutely awful HDR implementation, like most Samsung TVs have. The picture is so dark during HDR scenes that you cannot see anything that is happening.

Big problem in this model UA50TU8000W
I bought it almost 4 years ago. It started to turn off and on, into a restarting loop last week. I couldn't do anything about it. I was very upset. I'm so surprised that it's a common problem on this model...... Don't buy it.

Backdrop drops out, poor quality for price.
Have had this tv for about 3 years, same issue aseveryone else unfortunately. Back light drops in anf out casting a shadow on half the screen and quote was expensive to fix, have previously always had Samsung products, but would try a different brand now.

Excellent service from appliances online. Delivered on time and great communication re the delivery time. This is the second time I have purchased products from appliances online and I can't fault them. Matt in product support went over and above my expectations- my new tv didn't have enough ports for both my pay tv and dvd player and when I contacted the support team, Matt emailed me with advice and suggestions then went on ebay and found me the cable I needed. Try getting that service at one of the big retail stores. If you are thinking of buying an appliance and wonder if appliances online is as great as the customer reviews say- YES IT IS. Do yourself a favour and buy from this site, this is the only place I will be buying my appliances from in the future Julia, Burleigh Waters, Queensland
