​Honestly, buying the Samsung SWA-9500S felt like purchasing a car and discovering the back wheels were "optional accessories," but here we are. On the bright side, connectivity was stupidly easy—it actually managed to pair with my soundbar on the first try without making me perform a blood sacrifice to the Bluetooth gods. ​The wireless synchronization is surprisingly solid, meaning the audio actually lines up with the video instead of sounding like a badly dubbed 70s martial arts movie. The built-in amplification packs enough punch to wake up the dog during action scenes, and it legitimately expands the soundstage so overhead Dolby Atmos effects don't just sound like my ceiling is collapsing. Mounting them was simple enough once I figured out which generic brackets wouldn't let them plunge to their doom. ​Overall, as much as it hurts to buy separate rear channels, they actually do what they're supposed to do. 10/10, would let Samsung take my money again.
