It boils quietly, it is ergonomic and modern looking, and when it reaches boiling point it shuts off quickly and reliably, unlike my old Breville kettle which would boil on and on before finally shutting off after steaming out the whole kitchen! This kettle has a nice metallic finish which is attractive and easy to clean. Good purchase.Very attractiveIt is a perfect lightweight, attractive kettle.
