I love the size as the family has shrunk and I rarely need the extra large. The 3.5 is ideal for 2 or 3 of us with some leftovers. In 40+ years, my large slow cookers have mainly been home brand ones with a few brand name ones in between. So I have a lot of comparison as to what heat for cooking time needed., Sadly this doesn't live up to expectations, as on HIGH heat, it takes as long as all of my others on LOW heat. First time I used this cooker, I was thankful no grandkids were visiting waiting on dinner as it was at last ready well after bed times. A meal I'm cooking today is generally 3 hours on high and that's even per the slow cooker recipe book, yet it will take a minimum of 5+ The cooker is usable as long as the above is taken into account

The lid exploded on the slow cooker. This is making it harder to cook things in it. I also don't appreciate the flying glass
