Great portable air conditioner! We use this for an average size bedroom and it effectively cools room approx 10-15 degrees cooler than outside temperature. Easy to set-up, however make sure you have a window nearby for the exhaust hose. Only negative is that it is quite noisy.

Two of the walls in my aparment's bedroom are windows that face the rising sun. With the blinds down and windows open my room would easily hit 30 degrees on a 20 degree day. I bought this AC in hopes of fixing this. Unfortunately, the unit cant keep up with the sun (go figure) in my 3x4m room. When left on overnight, the compressor runs most of the time--even when it is cooler outside than the temp I have the unit set to. The AC is working and I can feel cold air being pumped out, but it just doesn't sufficiently cool down the room. It does, though, make the room at least comfortable enough to sleep in. I'm just worried for the 40 degree days. I would recommend this unit to people who already live in a small, well insulated place. This is not meant for large areas or competing with direct sunlight. As far as noisyness, it's ok. I am able to sleep through the compressor going on and off, but it is by no means silent.

Great unit. Does the job fast. Easy to install. Is a bit noisy when the cooking cuts in and out but I imagine that all units are similar.
