Before every Winning Services installation, our team checks the area for any existing damage or hazards and ensures the new appliance’s dimensions are a correct fit for the existing space. We request that the area around the cooktop is clear and that cooking is avoided for at least one hour before rangehood installation.
As part of our installation service, we will:
- Deliver new rangehood
- Remove old canopy rangehood
- Mark out fixings and mount to existing shelf
- Hang new canopy rangehood and connect to existing ducting and power
- Install flue cover
- Test to make sure all functions are working
- Show customer how to use rangehood
- Remove all rubbish and clean area
Winning Services installation covers appliances that are like-for-like in size and connection requirements, e.g. replacing a 60cm plug-in canopy rangehood with a new 60cm plug-in canopy model. Changing to a different style, such as a slideout model, will require quotes for extra works.
Extra works include:
- Wall penetrations for ducting (TBQ)
- Minor cabinetry work (TBQ)
- Roof penetrations for the ducting of rangehoods (TBQ)
- Cutting down flue covers for rangehoods (TBQ)
- Any modification to cabinets to bring to Australian Standards/manufacturer’s specifications (TBQ)
- Electrical work for new power outlets or hardwiring (TBQ)
Will you need extra work?
Consider the following to check if yours will be a like-for-like rangehood installation.
- Ducted or recirculating? Ducted rangehoods vent air, smoke, and grease to a bulkhead, roof cavity or to the outside of your home via ducting, while recirculating rangehoods filter the air back into the kitchen. If your current rangehood has a vent pipe, it’s ducted.
- Clearance height: Rangehoods must be installed at a specific clearance height above the cooktop. This height is the greatest of the following three: Australian Standard, rangehood manufacturer’s recommendation, and cooktop manufacturer’s requirement. More info.
