I've seen this machine advertised on another platform where it is demonstrated live. I've considered it for a long time and finally decided to purchase. It's a great machine, easy to setup and maintain. Yes its alot of plastic but its made well. Although I am concerned about the handle that lifts up the water tank...whether that will break over time? I wonder if there's replacement parts? All in all I'm very pleased with thos purchase and my partner and I drink alot more water because of it! Instant chilled or Boiling water, its amazing! The water quality is excellent and to be able to use the jugs for filling up pots for cooking is a bonus. We keep 1 jug on the machine and the other we use to refill the water tank after filling it to 1 quarter and then placing the tank back on the machine.

After having set up and cleaned the unit prepping for first time use (which did take a good 20 minutes) th result was great tasting water. Piping hot (instant) or chilled (after turning on the feature and waiting a minimum of around half an hour). Compressor does run with some noise though so if you already have a fridge that dispenses cold water you may as well switch the feature off if you are sensitive to white noise. The unit is large, so be prepared to allow for adequate room (it isn’t a Nespresso sized!) Be prepared to be diligently replacing the aquaporin filter though as you can run through 2000L quite quickly if you have a family of four.

Everything works great as demo in the video, except for one thing that really bothers us, which is the water jug. The water jug mouth has been designed so poorly that every time you want to pour a small amount of water out, the water will just come out along the jug and spill into the floor. The water jug can only be used in a time when you are pouring massive amount and incline the jug with a steep angle, then it won't spill. So I would say, if you are a person who intends to use the water jug a lot for ambient water like pouring into a cup, you definitely don't want to buy this one for that purpose. For hot water use cases, you won't regret buying it. Phillips please fix this issue, as it is really bothering. Please send me an email if you come out with a new model of the water jug that fixes the issues, I would love to buy it. Or if possible, I think you should offer to replace the existing ones for free given this is like a defect almost. I think simple change the shape of the mouth to a Sharpe-drop shape should do the job. I can't believe the mouth is designed to be a rather round shape. Maybe just copy Brita's water jug, I have used their water jug before I buy this product for 5 years without any water spill issue. You might argue that for small amount of water, might just as well use the dispensing function, but you have to know in some circumstances it won't be the most convenient. Example 1: What if I don't want to wait given the speed of dispensing is really slow. For 250ml cup of water I could easily pour it within 1 sec, while the dispensing would have me wait for 5 secs. Example 2: what if the container I am using doesn't quite fit in such as in the middle of frying with my wok, I want to add small amount of water ASAP without waiting. Keen to see the next version of water jug that fixes this issue! Without this issue, I will give this machine 5 stars if it lasts long.
