    Overview

The Philips 3000 Series Steam Generator (PSG3000/30) is designed to make ironing dramatically faster and easier, cutting your ironing time by up to 25% compared to standard steam irons. With a robust 6-bar pump pressure, it delivers a continuous steam output of 120 g/min, while the impressive 350 g steam boost easily tackles stubborn creases and thick fabrics. Whether you’re ironing delicate blouses or heavy linens, the PSG3000/30 ensures smooth, professional results with minimal effort.

At the heart of its performance is the durable ceramic soleplate, which glides effortlessly over any fabric type. Scratch-resistant and non-stick, it promises long-lasting, smooth operation and is easy to clean, ensuring you can maintain optimal performance over time. The steam generator features a generous 1.4 L detachable water tank that provides up to an hour of continuous ironing per fill — perfect for large batches of laundry — and it’s simple to refill anytime through the large filling door.

Despite its power, this unit is designed to be lightweight and compact, weighing just 2.7 kg (iron plus base), making it easy to handle, manoeuvre, and store, even in small living spaces. It’s also engineered for longevity, featuring Smart Calc Clean technology that works seamlessly with tap water, automatically removing limescale build-up to keep steam performance at its best over the long term.

For environmentally conscious users, the Eco Mode offers up to 30% savings in water and electricity while still delivering powerful, reliable results. Combining efficiency, convenience, and durability, the Philips 3000 Series Steam Generator transforms the chore of ironing into a smooth, time-saving experience — giving you more time to enjoy freshly pressed clothes and less time fussing over creases.

    Frustrated ironing lady2026-08-08
Doesnt steam as well as expected. My Tefel iron has more steam at short notice. Only exception being that it has to be refilled often.

Dreadful residue building up on soleplate
Pros: Makes very fast work of a large load of ironing, definitely faster than using a traditional steam iron. I find it lighter and more comfortable to use, and it's brilliant not having to fill it up all the time, Con: Despite the instruction that this iron is suitable for using tap water, I have found that it consistently builds up a dirty residue around two of the lower holes. At first I thought I was using too hot a setting on printed farbics, but despite constant de-scaling and being ultra careful, the residue keeps coming back after I clean the soleplate. It is now too hard to clean off fully, and has become too rough to use over delicate fabrics.
