Sometimes you get what you pay for - this iron is a prime example. So glad I spent a little more and got all the bells and whistles! Glides easily - powers through cottons and linens. Makes ironing a pleasure to do (seriously!). My only concern is where you pour water in, the plastic hinge holding the closure seems a bit flimsy (like it may break after much use).

This iron does iron really well, excellent on jeans and difficult to iron fabrics. I feel that it does have some design flaws. It is very heavy and is a bit awkward to hold and the bumpy bits on top of the handle (the non slip grip) where you hold the iron hurts my hand. Also it is really really difficult to read any of the settings, and to see the water level- the gold/ bronze writing against the grey is impossible! Additionally, due to proximity of the Iconic DeepSteam button to where you actually grip the iron, I often accidentally turn it on.

The ionic button on the handle is poorly positioned. My hand slips forward on the handle turning it on and off constantly. It should be moved to another position. The iron is very noisy and this is the first thing I noticed, it is very distracting. The overall function of the iron is very good.
