[Employee of philipsglobal] I was a bit sceptical of this product and it's ability to cook good tasting food with little or no oil - I was not disappointed! The 'fryer' in the title is a bit deceptive as this product is more akin to cooking food in a microwave or an oven. My first experience was to make homemade potato wedges. They turned out a treat (I followed the french fries recipe it comes with) and were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside using just a few squirts of spray oil and were very tasty. It's a really easy to use product and much faster than cooking with an oven, can see a lot of potential with this gadget, would be brilliant for families.

[Employee of philipsglobal] I received the product free and was really looking forward to using it as I had heard many good things. I can honestly say I am very impressed! I now use it it everyday, it is so quick and convenient for making a healthy meals. I mainly use it to cook things like onions, peppers,sweet potatoes and chicken. I prefer to manually select the cooking settings but the preset options are handy too. The large basket size is very handy as I can cook enough for up to four portions. Sometimes I will use a few a very small amount of the spray oil when cooking vegetables but when cooking meat I normally do not use any. Best of all, it so easy to clean! I do not think I can live without it now!

[Employee of philipsglobal] I have been regularly using one of the original Philips airfryers for 3 years now and in my opinion it's a must have gadget for the kitchen! This new XXL version is definitely worth upgrading to. I've used the airfryer in the past mainly for cooking frozen food as it's a LOT quicker than using an oven. Also, the food is crispier as more of the fat seems to fall off the food, rather than the food sitting in it, so I think it's a healthier way of cooking too. Baked potatoes are lovely and crisp skinned in a fraction of the time of using an oven (need to be microwaved a little beforehand). With my upgraded airfryer, I have been a bit more adventurous. I've cooked a number of vegetable dishes such as courgette gratin which was not only really healthy but delicious too. My most recent dish was banana bread which is included in the accompanying recipe booklet; it not only made my house smell like gorgeous banana caramel, it tasted lovely too. I think the turbo boost on this model disperses the heat more evenly, hence the really great results. I like the digital functionality on this upgraded model too, such as the easy to use heat settings for different types of food and the bigger basket.
