Need to constantly monitor the cooking temperature as it automatically changes temperature after you set it. The cook should be watching the food not the appliance. Will be taking a quick trip to the rubbish dump. Needs a manual cook select. User manual is non-existent. There are many cheaper brands on the market that do a better cooking job.

Bought this as a replacement to my Belling portable. It is too complicated to use and will not hold at a simmer, even on 60 deg the cooktop is still boiling the food. A very frustrating cooking experience. The D&T team need to simplify this unit as the technology when right, is just the best. Very disappointed with this portable cooktop.

It heats up well and is powerful. Excellent footprint and easy to clean. BUT! ...the preset cooking options are obscure and there is no way to just run it manually to your own preference. Every 2 minutes it ramps up the power which means you have to constantly watch it. I've had to play with various menu "options" and it's really annoying.
