We spent over 45 minutes trying to get the clock radio up and running. Finally managed to set the time ... but so stressed and arguing ... that we will leave the rest to another day! The instructions were just diabolical to try and work out! And .. so difficult to read. We had to find a very strong light and then a magnifying glass to see most of them. My husband has more patience than I ... I wanted to throw the thing out the window!!! Why can't big companies be more kind to people trying to set up what should be a simple thing. Wishing I had kept my simple old (over 30 years) clock radio ... or simply bought a cheap one. I am hoping that one day, when I can bring myself to it .. I can work out the radio and the other features. It may be a very good clock radio but it is very difficult to work out the instructions.

I still have no idea how to set the alarm on this thing. I have succeeded by pure fluke. Also, when you want to switch it off rather than snooze it, the button is tiny and difficult to find. Very expensive for what it is.

The instructions in the "Quick Start Guide" are very poorly written and do not appear to have adequate, easily followed and efficient steps to achieve a simple set-up process. The step-by-step flow of the instructions and the diagrams are very confusing and need to be re-written with every sequential step included. It is very disappointing that after a number of years of your customers providing very constructive criticism on this issue Philips have failed to review these instructions for their future customers. I frustratingly went through the set-up process so many times before I could operate the unit to an acceptable level. A simple one step ON and OFF button for the radio would also be useful as toggling through the four functions of the SOURCE button is very cumbersome and frustrating process. This is another area that Philips have completely neglected to include in their Operating Instructions. Radio sound quality is good and a smart phone parking dock with USB charging and Bluetooth streaming are all very convenient features.
