Does what it says on the box.
The instructions weren't brilliant regarding the FM aerial positioning, but luckily there is a DAB signal strength meter on the package, once you have this as high as you can get it the FM sensitivity seems adequate. But it would have been nice to have had RDS on FM instead of simply frequencies. DAB just...Works. Also slightly disappointed that it will only link over Blue tooth with Apple products, but as I bought it for my wife specifically because it has the Thunderbolt connector, that's a small consideration, as Apple blue tooth usually won't link with anything. That it also linked with my daughters Ipad as well was a bonus I wasn't expecting, it will even relay You tube music over the link. Clever stuff. Sound quality is quite a lot better than I was expecting, over CD more so. Quite surprising, and no doubt the fact it wouldn't blow over in a stiff breeze has a lot to do with that, it feels solid, well built. And I like that you can have 3 different settings on the Blue tooth, one for range, one for quality. The manual suggests no more than 10 meters range. It's far more than that, I got to the bottom of my drive (about 50m in total from the unit) before it lost the signal. Can't grumble with that. Best of all, it doesn't look out of place on the TV table with my 50" Panasonic plasma and Panasonic Blue ray drive. Why did I buy Panasonic? Well, all the other units I saw I hadn't heard of them except one beginning with B, and I quite like Panasonic units, my daughter has our "old" Panasonic Plasma in her room now, it's 6 years old now and no sign of any screen burn or anything, can't grumble with that. I expect this unit will be of the same quality.
