I have small ears and don't find ANY in-ear "buds" to be at all comfortable, or, indeed, can get them to stay in. This includes the other Panasonic in-ear offerings as well as those from Apple, Google, Sennheiser and so on. The great strength of these is that they don't fit inside one's ear canal; they poke the sound in from being aligned well with the outside of one's ear canal. So they don't hurt, which is wonderful! They also allow the sound in from the outside, and, walking along the road, I can hear traffic from any direction and not get run over. I don't think these bring the same bass into one's ears as units which block and fill and squeeze and hurt the ear canal, so whilst they're ok for music they are perfect for speech-based programming such as dramas and books being read. Not just fine; perfect. Then, as a bonus, they're cheap! I would have spent what it takes up to hundreds of pounds, but everything else is in-ear, and therefore hurts. Plus, the cheaper but still expensive options block the sound of traffic, and then one pays more for units that pipe the ambient sounds in so that you can hear, say, traffic. These cheap Panasonic units just let that sound in naturally and it works really well. They're cheap, they work well, and they don't hurt.

I use it mostly for video work, up to full zoom. It's a backup for my FZ2500 for when it's raining or when I want to take a camera on my kayak.
