I bought this to replace an old baby monitor that my son liked to play music on to go to sleep. He has had an iPod for some time, but we wanted to be able to play his music for him with a device that had a sleep function so that we did not have to remember to turn it off. This is perfect, as it will play from Spotify for a set time, and will even work with the alarm function to wake him up for school in the morning. It is a very good alternative to having to try and find a stereo system that has a sleep/wake function that will actually play from the iPod, and especially from Spotify. I also like the dimmer function for the clock, as these are often too bright at night time. It has three settings for brightness but doesn't seem to remember this setting each time you remove the iPod - not a big drama though. It is small and compact, fits nicely by his bedside table, and has a reasonable volume to the speaker if needed. It doesn't have much in the way of bass, but I wouldn't expect that from such a tiny speaker. All in all very happy with this clock radio and the iPod app they have developed to allow you to sync and set up the various functions on the clock directly from the iPod. Would recommend to anyone looking for a replacement to the old cd player or baby monitor for those kids who are growing up, and even those adults that like to fall to sleep or wake up to some relaxing tunes.

This is the second one I have owned. Great idea and easy to use. Only issue is the LCD display even on the dullest setting lights up the bed room at night. I just put something over it otherwise excellent product.

My clock was faulty as it would not sync the correct time from my iPhone but I contacted Panasonic and it was replaced immediately. The replacement works great!
