    Overview

It’s easy to understand why the Panasonic SD-2501 bread maker is one of our most popular small appliances. It’s a versatile gadget that can create fresh and crusty loaves of bread and other baked treats on demand, from rye loaves to gluten-free rolls, to pizza dough, cakes, and fruit loaves. You can even use it to make jam to put on your freshly-baked bread! And since this bread maker is easy to use and even easier to clean, you can spend less time working in the kitchen and more time enjoying the results of your baking!
    Handles everything for you

With this bread maker, you won’t even need to mix or knead your ingredients – just place them all in the pan, and the bread maker will take care of the rest for you.

    Bread on demand

A 13 hour timer lets you delay the start of your baking until a time of your choosing. Imagine waking up to the smell of freshly-baked bread, having prepared the ingredients in advance the night before!

    Bake it your way

Using the LED control panel, you can choose from a range of different bread varieties to choose from, plus three crust colours. There’s also a 100% gluten free setting, a fruit and nut dispenser, and a jam and compote mode for making the perfect toppings to go with your freshly baked bread, all with the same machine.

    No need for baking paper

The bread maker’s Diamond Fluoro coated pan is unique to Panasonic, and large enough to prepare 1.13kg loaf, with a variety of other size options available. Because of the pan’s non-stick surface, you won’t need to roll out baking paper at the start, or scrape away burned crunchy bits at the end.

We purchased this new a couple of years ago and it has been great until today when it decided lights out for good! Just outside warranty period so I'm very disappointed. It hasn't even paid for itself in that it would have been cheaper for me to just buy bread!

dough leaking into external bottom of pan
i have used this bread maker for years to make wholemeal and white dough for my family. We then put the dough in a traditional loaf pan to proof and bake in the oven. we also use it to make great pizza dough. Unfortunately I am now ditching this machine and replacing it because it has a very odd problem. The dough "leaks" somehow out down through the paddle spindle and collects underneath the pan, potentially ending up in the motor cavity. it's so wierd. We can't figure out how its happening but every single time now, you take the pan out at the end of the cycle and about 100g of dough has wound its way around the spindle and it's hard to get out. and gross.

    Over 20yrs of fantastic service
We have had this bread maker for over 20yrs and have used it at least every 2nd day over its lifetime with us. Husband has done a couple of repairs recently but it has now finally stopped mixing properly. Very very happy with 20yrs from this machine, and am replacing it with the current equivalent. Mother, aunt and friend all have similar Panasonic machines. We are all big fans.
