    A surprisingly brisk induction stove
OK, I thought this would just be a stopgap until we had a more powerful induction stovetop installed. However, we have realised how powerful it is! Even deep frying stuff, the oil gets hot so quickly that we've had to run it on a lower heat where it maintains the oil temperature much better than the ceramic stove it replaced! The power sharing has actually been a non-hassle as even at settings of 3-4 the heat zones plug away to cook covered dishes perfectly. Even using all 4 hot zones simultaneously, we only need one hot hot zone and level 5 is plenty for that. So, there you go! Easy to put in to renovate where you have an existing 10A point and punches well above it's price point.

Pots have scratched the cooktop. It can't take small pots.

Simple to install, Okay to use, Need improvement.
For a dedicated 10Amp outlet here in AU, you can install this cooktop just plug and play but need to take care of the cooling vent requirement. The touch control is simple to use but needs some improvement for better user experience and efficiency. 1: the indicator LEDs need to be brighter for sunny day to read it. 2: programming improvement: the sum of the total power is set eg, 2400Watt, not the current fixed rule and often reduced total usable wattages on this stove when using multiple stoves. 3: when multiple stoves are on and host select one stove to increase heat level, then to reduce other stove, if need be, to maintain total sum of 2400W. 4: if only one stove is been used then simply press +/- is the intention of change power level hence no need the current unnecessary process of select working stove before level can be changed. With the above changed, I'm sure much more people would buy this induction cooktop.

Can you purchase a surround available if you’d cut out us too big? Moamamama · 2023-07-28
Good Morning, Thanks for inquiring about this product! In order to accommodate the new cooktop properly, we would recommend having a custom-made Stainless Steel unit with a cut-out that fits the cooktop precisely. It's essential to ensure sufficient overhang to provide ample support for the new cooktop. However, it's important to consider that custom fabrication and additional costs could make this option more expensive compared to purchasing a slightly larger cooktop that fits the space and installation better, offering a more aesthetically pleasing result. We hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at 1300-000-500. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
We have an under bench electric Owen and a gas hot plate above, we are thinking if we could change the hot plate out to an electric like the Omega 60cm Induction Cooktop OCI64PP. I saw it was a plug and play 10amp only, so a pp would be it. Erik · 2023-03-26
Good Afternoon, Thank you for this product question, even though this has a 10amp plug and lead attached the cooktop will still need to be on its own circuit if you connect the cooktop to a normal 10amp PowerPoint this may be looped to another PowerPoint in the kitchen. The small element on the cooktop draws 1000 watts on the high setting and if you connect a kettle to the looped PowerPoint this kettle maybe 2000 watts you are now drawing 3000 watts which is too high and will trip the breaker. This cooktop has a total electrical rating of 2200watts and the elements power share means you are NOT able to have all 4 elements on high at the same time you are able to have 1 large single 2000watt element and if you select a second element the power of the first will be reduced and so on, Page 13 of the user manual covers this I'll attach the manual below for you to download to review:https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/ak/9/b/3/9/9b39ef6cd689e8340ae6ba69ea58577578288b31_OCI64PP_Omega_User_Manual.pdf This cooktop is best suited for very old buildings in which you are not able to upgrade your electrical power, if you are able to upgrade your electrical then I would consider another brand of cooktop that is more suitable for your style of cooking. is this cook top plug and play? Michelle · 2022-09-10
Good Afternoon, Thank you for this product question, Yes this model will come with a 10amp plug and lead attached, this model is induction and all four elements have a limiter added to this cooktop so none of the elements will exceed 2200watts, so how this works on 10amps if you have the 2000watt element on you have full power then place another element on and power usage is reduced on the first element then place another element on and the first and second are reduced in power so this will not exceed a total of 2200watts. So if you are not able to run another circuit for a higher wattage cooktop, or there is not enough power at the circuit board and you want induction cooking then this would be a good option but you will be restricted by the lack of power over all elements. I hope this information will assist you when shopping here with us at Appliances Online. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
