I purchased a Nilkfisk vacuum cleaner 20 years ago and although it still had tremendous suction the brushes and castors on the bottom were wearing out and limiting my vacuuming to tiles and carpet. After much research of good vacuum cleaners I discovered the Nilfisk was much cheaper and decided to give it another go. Still the same basic vacuum with updated features and just as good, or even better than my old one,. I expect this to last at least 20 years. It appears to be well made and solid.

This is my second nilfisk vacuum. The previous one lasted 10 years. I purchased this new nikfisk as I only have a small apartment and dont need top of the range. However I didn’t know it was specialised for parquet flooring I don’t recall this in the description. My opinion of the Elite Classic is that it has incredi ble suction power and my carpets look very clean. It has a second head for hard floors which is probably for the parquet floors if I had them. The handle has buttons for on and off and to increase or decrease power suction. This stopped working after only the 3rd time of used and I discovered there were 2 batteries that had to be replaced. I found this a bit odd as if they had designed a vacuum cleaner then added this extra automation which didn’t have a power source so they added a battery system. This also was not mentioned in the description. I don’t see why they couldn’t have connected it to main motor. Overall the vacuum works well but is quite heavy. The flexible tubing is made of hard plastic and resists all attempts at coiling for storage. My pre ious nikfisk had much more flexible tubing.

We bought this Nilfisk vacuum cleaner a month ago and are really happy with it. We had an older version of it for over 5 years and the new model has some great improvements. The handle is lighter, the power controls are built in the handle and the unit itself has a rubber bumper bar around it. We could even use the same vacuum bags from our old vacuum cleaner.
