This is an ingenious piece of equipment and is well made. It did extend the hose up to the top of the stairs and it should prove useful. I have a slight problem with the other piece of kit that I had bough the week before. That was a replacement hose for my Cat and Dog. The problem is that replacement hose does not seem to fit snugly to the main body of the machine and this makes it noisy and reduces the suchtion. And now I can't release the tabs on the connector of the hose to the machine, so I can't take off the replacement hose to see what might be wrong. It would have been really helpfu if the website could have told me unequivocally which hose to order for my vacuum cleaner, as I don't know if that's the problem, or whether there is something missing, like an o-ring seal or something like that.

This is well made as can be expected from Miele. It gives you that extra length to reach high spaces without having to pick up the vacuum cleaner. It's a great idea having a collapsable extension, because just a long extension would be difficult to store away.
