Not really for a family as it doesn't really hold that much. My main annoyance with the machine is that it doesn't spin dry the clothes that well...the clothes are a lot wetter than in my old machine after the cycle has finished. It would also be good if the machine remembered your last cycle choice as well, you need to select the size of the load, water temp etc every time. But overall, a pretty good washing machine and I guess you get what you pay for.Legendary service
