[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this blu-ray player after my 5 year old Samsung blu-ray player quit playing blu-ray DVDs. This unit was seamless and easy to setup and totally compatible with my LG 4K Smart TV. The quality of sound and picture when playing both blu-ray and standard DVDs are amazing. The unit is basically no frills as it does not have the smart feature for streaming apps such as Pandora, Amazon Prime or Netflix, but that is no problem for me as my smart TV has this capability. Over all, I am very pleased with the purchase of this unit and hoping it will last for years. The main reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that the unit does not have a front display. Quite frankly this was a surprise and a bit of a disappointment, but something we will adapt to over time.

Hi, I've had an UBK90 for and while watching nearly every film pauses during playback, locking up the player. And it does this at exactly the same moment, if playback is restarted. In the end I've skipped chapters for the movie to continue. I bought a second hand UBK80 for my mum and dad, hoping it would do better, and it did, until the 2nd film we watched and it paused and I had to skip a chapter. I don't know what causes this but I think sharing the experience will help. Thx.

upgraded to 4k and wanted an entry level player. Great picture and sound, value for money
