Not as good as the old LG front loaders
Having owned 2 LG washing machines previously, I really wanted to like this machine, but I'm a bit disappointed. There is no favourites button anymore.. the wash cycles are longer.. you can't see how long they are going to run when you are trying to select one... and there are no pre-programmed cold wash cycles. In fact, there is no way to pre-program a completely cold wash cycle that runs normal time with a high spin, so if that's what you want, it's a bit clunky to get there. In fact, if you want something that you used to get by hitting the one old favourites button, you need to twist the dial all the way around to the download cycle, then hit the temp button about 4 times.. which is a time waster. Such a pity, because my old LG was much easier to use. Other than that, it washes well, has a large tub and does have steam refresh button, which is a terrific program. If only LG could produce an update for users to download.. to sort these issues. My previous LG machines were much easier to use.

Good machine, just needs more adjustability
I am now 30 wash/dry's in (just did a tub clean) and so far it has been working well. But I have a few gripes. The spin cycle is violent, I don't know if it's just the machine and not having adequate dampening in it, I have put isolators under the feet and my house still shakes! (previous washer was fine) Info on the drying cycle is vague, I wish there was more adjustability on the temperature, I have pulled clothes out so hot that it's burnt my hands, and they are shrunk and like cardboard. I usually need to run it on the Delicates low-temperature setting, which doesn't always dry it and it would be nice for a "little more" setting, instead of doing a 30min cycle. The app seems pretty pointless, I thought the downloading of cycles would mean could customise my own ones and download them to the machine, but it is just pre-made ones much like what is already in there, I don't know why I can't just select what I want it to do and download it. Other than that, the machine works well, is fairly easy to use, looks nice, and apart from spin cycle (and hammering of my water) its quiet. Just make sure you clean the seal at the front often! And if they can update the app to give some proper functionality, that would make it way better! As it is, the app is really just a gimmick.

Does as advertised. Great unit.
Great machine. Washes and dries perfectly. I read some negative reviews but since it was on sale and was cheaper than any other 12kg washer, I grabbed one, glad I did as the drier function is great. I’m presuming the people complaining about clothes not being dried properly are overpacking it. Perfect for cold Victorian winters where nothing dries on the line.

Hi Jules, this machine won't need anything additional. It has a water inlet, water drainage hose and power cable just like the top mount washing machine. In terms of venting, this machine will produce heat in the same way your current washing machine would if doing a hot load of washing - it'll emit heat by virtue of it being hot. But the hot, vaporous air from the drying process will get condensed into water and drained out of the machine, through the same hose it uses when draining the washing machine in a spin cycle. Hi Josh, it is a condenser dryer - so it condenses the steam/hot air that would be released from the drying process into water that is then released through the drainage hose. There isn't any actual water used in the drying process (unless a steam setting is used). But the machine does definitely need to be plumbed out. Kind regards, Adam from Appliances Online.
