    Overview

The LG 8kg Series 1 Front Load Washer combines intelligent fabric care, efficient washing performance, and smart connectivity in a sleek modern design. Finished in classic white, this front load washer is designed to suit contemporary laundry spaces while delivering reliable everyday cleaning performance for busy households.

Powered by LG’s Inverter Direct Drive Motor with AI Direct Drive technology, the washer intelligently detects load characteristics and helps optimise wash movements for improved fabric care and washing efficiency. Combined with LG’s 6 Motion Wash technology, the machine uses multiple drum motions to provide thorough yet gentle cleaning performance tailored to different fabric types.

Steam functionality helps deliver hygienic washing performance by reducing common allergens and assisting with deeper fabric care. A dedicated Allergy Care cycle uses steam to help improve cleanliness for sensitive households, while the Quick 30 cycle provides fast and convenient washing for lightly soiled loads when time is limited.

The spacious 8kg capacity offers flexibility for everyday family washing, while load sensing and foam detection technologies help optimise water and wash performance automatically. A durable stainless steel tub and black tinted tempered glass door add both durability and premium visual appeal.

Smart convenience is enhanced through ThinQ Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing compatible smartphone control, remote start functionality, and access to downloadable wash cycles. Combining efficient performance, intelligent fabric care, steam functionality, and smart technology, the LG WV1-1208WX is designed to simplify everyday laundry while delivering reliable cleaning results.
    Six Motion Direct Drive

Six Motion Direct Drive delivers exceptional performance while caring for your clothes. LG washers use six hand-wash-inspired motions to provide a thorough, gentle clean.

    Allergy Care with Steam

This LG washer harnesses the power of steam to open up the fibres on your garments to help to remove common allergens such as dust mites, pollen, and bacteria. Whether you’re allergy-prone or simply want a more hygienic wash, LG’s steam function can enhance your laundry care.

    Tub Clean function

Tub Clean keeps your washer in peak condition by activating a specially designed cleaning cycle that helps maintain freshness and hygiene, ensuring your machine stays clean for optimal performance.

    Smart Diagnosis

If you ever run into any issues, you can download the LG ThinQ® app to your smart device to run the Smart Diagnosis® feature. The washer will run troubleshooting on itself and let you know exactly where the issue lies.

    Purchase of LG front loader
Not only is the washing machine itself stylish, it has the quiet wash of all LG washing machines. As we have no door to close for the laundry at our rental and the laundry is in close proximity to all other rooms especially our bedroom and the loungeroom. With the quiet cycle of the LG we can go back to doing washing even if anyone else in the house was trying to sleep as well as watching TV or a movie is no longer interrupted like it did when using our old cheaper machine (the only option we could afford at the time)

    Very pleased
I am very pleased with my new machine. The options are great, it is quiet and my washing comes out clean. I would advise to download the manual before using as i found it very different to my old LG.

This is a great washing machine. Even though it’s the entry level model it does everything I need and more. So simple to use and looks great.

Hi there, Thank you for your question. Yes, most of the washing cycles (excluding allergy care and tub clean) can have the temperature set to cold. The steam feature operates during the allergy cycle and helps to remove common allergens such as dust mites, pollen, and bacteria. Hope this helps.
