    No reliable
    I bought this microwave as I thought LG was a reliable brand from past experience. Purchased 23/4/23 it died 20/5/26. Everything looks like it is working but just does not heat, looks like the magnetron is faulty. We only used it occasionally to reheat leftovers. Yes it comes with a 10 year magnetron warranty but when you add on labour costs, not worth it. Very disappointed that it only lasted 3 years. I am better off buying a cheap Kmart one with 2 years warranty. Otherwise it worked OK for 3 years but the controls were not intuitive and the only way to change the clock is to switch it off and on at the power point!

    Overall happy with the product but it’s the fact that this purchase is an exact replacement for the product being replaced is why it’s only a 4 star. The earlier version is less than 3 years old but had to be replaced as the base where the turntable rotates on, has deteriorated with the paint peeling and the steel base rusting up. Tried to clean it up but when we saw rust particles on the light lens, we knew it was time to replace it. Performance wise, it has been great and to be totally honest, it was matched to our other appliances so simplest solution was to buy the exact same model and pay attention to the moisture settling internally. A paper towel wipe after each major usage is a nuisance but the amount of internal moisture is astounding so now a necessity. Suggest there should be a fix as ours will be to use the air fryer as an alternative for defrosting as that is when we have substantial internal moisture.

    Poor build quality
    have been through 2 of these now - microwave works fine (nothing special but does the job) for 2 years and then after the warranty period ends the interior starts to rust out. No matter where its placed or how its used. it generates a bunch of moisture which then rusts the machine out. Even if you try to dry it out after it sits in the joins.
