We bought a new TV just before the Easter holidays, excited to finally upgrade our faithful 20-year-old Sony that had been flawless for two decades. After much debate, we decided to give LG a try instead of sticking with Sony — and it turned out to be one of the worst decisions we've ever made. Within a couple of days, the brand-new LG TV began randomly turning itself off. By the end of the first week, it was completely dead. No warning, no explanation — just a useless black screen. To say we were frustrated would be an understatement. The real heartbreak was being left without a TV over the entire Easter break — no family movies, no games, no relaxing nights in front of a new screen we had looked forward to enjoying together. Instead, we spent the holiday staring at a lifeless box and feeling completely let down. We trusted LG with our purchase and were badly burned. This experience has completely destroyed any confidence we had in the brand. We should have stayed with Sony — reliable, proven, and worth every cent. Don’t make the same mistake we did. When it matters, LG simply isn't there.

I have been with LG now for 17 years and had this 55UM 74 now for nearly 3years. It has never let me down,OS is a pleasure to use so quick and simple, great picture quality, fantastic sound, I have never experienced any light bleed all the time Ive had it. I would recommend this TV .

Only a coiuple years old and the picture is going already and cannot be fixed. Feel this was a wasted buy and now have to buy a new one. Wont be buying a lg again thats for sure.
