Like many others on this forum the USB-C port broke quickly in the 2nd month of operation.

We all know LG makes good panels so that's fine. I find the overall usability of the monitor very poor. Unlike my previous LG monitor which had separate dedicated buttons for menu, source change and power, this monitor comes with a single flimsy joystick on the button. 1. The plastic joystick feels flimsy to the touch. It worries me that it might not hold up very long and I'm not sure if warranty will even cover it. 2. The joystick sometimes does not detect input and requires a few extra presses. 3. Power off requires either a long press or by selecting the off option in the menu. 4. My biggest gripe: source input change. I have two devices hooked up to this monitor. Every time I want to change source, it requires the following process. Click joystick to open menu > press left and click to choose source change option > move joystick up or down as many times it needs to find the right source and press to confirm. This might not seem like much at first but to me this process is very unnecessary, outdated and contributes to potential breakage of the joystick from compounded usage. I have looked for software solutions. For example, ControlMyMonitor, does not work as this monitor does not support an apparently quite common protocol called DDCCI which is required for the monitor to communicate with your device. Another solutions could be to buy a KVM switch. This would work technically but does not make sense since one of the main selling point of this monitor is that it also acts as a peripheral hub. I have multiple devices including speakers hooked up to the monitor working in unison. Using a separate hub or KVM switch would make this main monitor feature redundant. I have submitted requests to implement these 'should-be' very simple functions in the next firmware but I'm not sure how much LG heeds consumer feedback. Overall, if this was to be sorted/updated, it would make it a superb monitor with great value to me.

Good looking monitor with outstanding 4K resolution. Easy set up with the ergo stand an absolute winner.
