    I would like to install this range hood in a kitchen with a high ceiling of 3.165m. This means that I need to be able to have a flu that is long enough to cover 1.5m from the bottom of the range hood to the top of the flu. Is this possible? Adam · 2025-05-14

If the overall floor-to-ceiling height is 3165 mm, we can determine the available height for the rangehood by deducting the height of the benchtop, which is approximately 900 mm.  Next, we need to account for the distance from the cooktop surface to the underside of the rangehood, which usually varies depending on whether you have a gas or electric cooktop. For this calculation, let's assume it is 650 mm.  This leaves us with a remaining height of 1615 mm. Since the rangehood has an overall height of 840 mm, this means you are 775 mm short of the required height.  You have two options to resolve this issue: 1. Remove the bottom flue section and take it to a stainless steel fabricator to have the complete length made to suit your ceiling height. 2. Have your builder create a ceiling plinth that extends down 775 mm to conceal the ducting when exhausting air externally. Thank you for your product question.
