All looks but just does not perform is one function and that is consistently and evenly toast bread. One side is always undercooked and if you turn up the level, you get a a burnt side and an okay side. This is a replacement to the 1st one because we thought it was faulty but it is apparent from our experience and other reviews, that there is a fundamental design/manufacturing fault with this model. Waiting for feedback from KitchenAid to return and refund.

I bought this toaster for my 90 year old mother who is not appliance savvy. This was so easy for her to use by just pressing one button and the toast automatically cooked. The toast came out perfect.

Bought this toaster. Not only does it toast very unevenly, but it doesn’t lift the bread/crumpet high enough. To remove “toasted” item you burn your fingers or chance electrocuting yourself. Using artisan loaf bread, crumpets or similar, the pieces get stuck or don’t rise high enough. One is forced to use a pointed knife to dig out the pieces. Dreadfully disappointed. Waste of money.
