[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been using another popular brand of stand mixer for a long time. It wasn't really up to snuff when it came to doing bread doughs, etc. I had to hang onto the machine to stop it rattling itself off the benchtop! Or other times, the bowl would spin out of it's base. Woe! and woe! This KitchenAid Artisan is another story entirely. It's heavy and will not move even with a large bread dough being kneaded. It's quiet and best of all, I can just walk away and do something else without having to guard against any mishaps!
