Great Adapter for using all Kenwood attachments. Im using mine for the cheese grater. Absolutely brilliant.

The description and picture doesn't provide sufficient information to determine whether this is required or not. I have a KMX50 and can't work out if this is an 'old' machine requiring the adaptor or a 'new' machine not requiring the adaptor. As I'm buying attachments online, and as none of them show the shape of the connector, nor describe which models they are compatible with (or don't include the KMX-series in their list of models), I can't determine what I need to buy when I buy an attachment. It would be useful to have a photo here of the shape of the end that plugs into the mixer - it's not clear whether the diagram is showing the 'old' mixer attachment connector, or the 'new' attachment that the adaptor provides. Basically, Kenwood doesn't seem to care much about after sales - otherwise they would make it really easy for someone to buy after-market attachments. NOTE: The KMX50 manual also has absolutely no description of attachments or how to use them.
