I brought a refurbished one for a great price. The initial setup was fast sub and bar connected fast. The sound was good we watched couple of movies and it sounded great in our small room. However there is consistent problem with sub woofer connection. Anytime bar goes to standby, sub loses connection no amount of pairing with baris helping and I have to power cycle them. This is not acceptable to me. Also bluetooth connection is choppy even if phone is placed near the bar. I would have love it to keep for sound but those connection issue is not acceptable to me so returning it. I am not sure if it is my piece or just a generic issue with the product.

The thing sounds great BUT it has the sound cut-out issue that quite a few other reviewers have also posted. Quoting from one of them: "All settings have been done properly and connect them with my Samsung TV yet when on youtube, netflix or play station the kit stops working for few seconds - displays PCM - and lose sound up to 5 seconds when you go through the main menu of any app." This is annoying, especially in games when you would pause for a second, and then you get "PCM" displayed and miss the first sounds when you resume. For a specific example going through the inventory in Zelda: Breath of the Wild results in a flashing "PCM" text with no sound at all. The game would make a sound each time you move onto the next item in the inventory. JBL do you get this? This should be an easy fix via firmware update.

Offers great sound for an affordable cost. Very impressed with the bass quality and high volume clarity for being the lowest model that JBL carries. Wall mounting was extremely quick and easy. It has all the ports and functions you would need for a soundbar to have. Obviously this system doesn’t compare to higher end home theaters, but this is the best 2.1 soundbar system compared to other brand names.
