The tv is awesome for the price. The only problem is that sound is very bad (it sounds like a mobile phone). I assume that the lack of good sound is because the tv was design for an small room. Anyway the sound problem is fixable with a sound bar.

I bought the Hitachi Full HD LED LCD about three months ago. In that time I have watched a couple of TV Series and half a dozen movies. The picture quality is absolutely brilliant and the TV is very comfortable to watch for a couple of hours without a hint of eye strain. I have also found the built in PVR capability to be extremely useful. My only criticism is that I feel the speaker quality is pretty poor. I have found that even with bass and treble set at their lowest register, the sound distorts at anything above 60db. Because I use this TV as a stand alone unit, without an home theatre set up, I had hoped the unit would come with sound quality to match the screen. Unfortunately this is not so.
