Stove was already installed when I bought the house two years ago, but looked almost brand new. First problem noted, was that the neon lamp on the grill knob did not light when the grill was turned on. Next, the timer was very intermittent, sometimes stopping well before it reached the end of the travel, with no ring. Even when it did manage to make all the way round, the ring is so quiet as to be barely audible in a normal household situation. When using the grill, it seems that most of the heated air comes out the front of the grill opening, causing the control knobs to become too hot to touch. Also, the smoke from grilling escapes from the front opening, instead of out of the vent at the rear of the hotplate, and fails to be picked up by the extractor fan. The hotplate assembly works well enough using stainless utensils, but using aluminum pans results in marking of the glass which is difficult to clean off. The oven works well, but setting the temperature is very difficult without squatting right down to avoid parallax error. Tonight, just before retiring, I went out to the kitchen and found that the grill had turned on by itself. The knob was in the off position, but the element was fully on. I was unable to turn power to the grill off at the stove, so had to isolate the whole stove using the circuit breaker in the power box. I will be going out buy a replacement stove tomorrow, but will not be considering another Westinghouse.

Bought this unit for about $1400, had two years warranty, failed after the first year, elements blew, and exactly 3 months after warranty ran out, oven fan blew, two elements blew, now considering paying for repairs as it cost so much. RRP $2000, would not pay 2000 pesos for it.

Purchased this 60cm electric oven with ceramic hob 4 months ago. Very pleased with the way it cooks both on the hob and the oven. The hotplates are excellent size and heat is easy to control. Pastries, cakes and roasts are evenly cooked. I bought this stand alone stove to replace my 60cm Westinghouse stove which I purchased 9 years ago.
