    Good Afternoon, Thank you for this product question, the fridge will automatically defrost itself however the freezer will require a little attention as this is a manual defrost upright freezer, so this will depend on yourself how often you need to defrost your freezer, generally about every 12 months, some customers may prefer to defrost every 6months, there is no set rule for how often you need to defrost your freezer it is really up to the individual.
