    Hi I need to replace an old Technika 4G+wk/11xs cooktop. It is installed in a granite bench top. The cut out for the existing stove is 560 x480 -slight risk it could be a few mm less. Will you accept a return if it is too big? I expect it to be ok! Grant C · 2025-09-22
    Hello ​Thank you for this product question, in regards to installation when any product is cut into stone the measurements are taken from the item being installed which may very well be different from the original cooktops requirements as these are generally cut tight to prevent any movement, unless you are replacing with the same brand and model, I will say there will be some sort of modification required. Stone benchtops are able to be cut however this needs to be done by a qualified stonemason with the correct breathing and exhaust gear, this way you are able to purchase whatever cooktop that will suit you. Best to reach out to qualified installer that has the gear and qualifications to install the new cooktop, maybe reach out to an online quotation company such as Hipages, you simply fill in the online request with what you need done and hipages sends your request out to qualified installers to contact you with a price for the job, you simply select the best person for the job and deal with them directly. In regards to returns once the carton is opened and you want to change or return the item there is a 20% return fee attached.     I have had this installed with the supplied lpg conversion by a gas fitter. However the flames are too high and leaves burn marks on the bottom of the saucepans. Do i need new injectors fitted and if so where and who do I get them from? Brian · 2023-07-25

If the flame appears excessively high, it needs to be adjusted by a qualified plumber. The ideal flame colour should be blue, as explained in detail on page 8 of the user manual.
