So I purchased this upgraded version a month ago. Now I loved the previous version more than anything but emptying it all the time (especially with my lab who sheds a ton) was just taking longer. So I researched and found the R98, and boy was it the best investment. This mapping software is extremely accurate, self emptying is a god send. I have it set up to run three times a day, being a nursing student and working full time I didn’t want to have to come home to sweep everyday. It has only gotten stuck once and that was because my fridge door started to sag. I even got rid of my cheap black and decker hand vac and use the attachment for my hand vac needs. If I had a bigger house you bet your dollars I’d purchase another! Love this thing and love ECOVACS!!!

I bought the Deebot R98 because of the mopping feature, but I am very disappointed. The water reservoir is too small and does not cover enough floor to use the feature. Very disappointing. Also, the dust bin on the vacuum is small. Hopefully future models will have larger dust bins and self empty when full. The Deebot R98 has the self empty feature, but only empties at the end of the cycle, not when the dust bin is full. That means you can't run it when you are not home, because you have to stop it periodically and empty the bin or it just keeps running but not picking anything up.
