I never write a review, but I have had my Dyson HEPA for about a month and must share my experience with it. I delayed making this purchase because of cost, but honestly, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have always HATED to vacuum and was always exhausted when I put the heavy, noisy machine away. Not anymore! The Dyson is light weight, maneuverable (it can get places easily that were almost impossible to reach with other vacuums), not nearly as noisy, cuts vacuuming time in half and has more suction than the noisy, heavy ones. I am always amazed at how much dirt it picks up, even when nothing really appears to be dirty. I now vacuum because I enjoy vacuuming! I never thought I would say that! Do not be deterred because it may cost a few dollars more than competitors. It is worth every penny.

It doesn't pick up well enough,you have to repeatedly go over the area. Ours is 2 1/2 yrs old and it finally died.After charging for 3 days, it just quit. We have another product we use, it was cheaper and works far better.It is expensive for the poor performance.

We bought this last year, it is the Animal V6 supposedly able to handle carpet if you have pets, and at first I thought it was great. It was light and easy to use. I broke my back several years ago so vacuuming is hard on my back muscles. I light vacuum like this was perfect. Well after using it a week or so, the filter got clogged and it would cycle on and off. So then you have to wash the filter and let it sit for 24 hours to dry. I put it near a fan to blow it dry faster. So over the last year I have found that if you fill up the little coffee can sized bin at least twice, then the filter needs washing again. The vacuum will cycle on and off and not clean anything and eventually shut off. I am tired of it. I then have to go find another vacuum to use while the filter is drying. Why am I wasting my time cleaning this filter so much? I am better off using another vacuum and doing one room a hour so my back can rest than to keep messing with washing this stupid filter. If this filter wouldn't get dirty so easy and cause the vacuum to quit working, this vacuum would be great. Also the collector bin is too small. It has to be emptied every 10 min of vacuuming. We have pets, there is a lot of hair. I thought Animal in the name meant it was designed for pet owners. I have decided to quit using it and may just give it away. I am tired of wasting my time with this.
