I left my previous review (geisha7) on the 24th of Dec 2012 after having my vacuum cleaner for 3 months. I thought 2 years has now gone by so time for my final review. Seems I can't add a follow-up review using a previous nickname hence the different nickname. I am happy to report that my vacuum cleaner still has the same suction from the first day I received it so yes, "a Dyson vacuum cleaner never loses suction". Everthing including the cord and vacuum cleaner still performs like new. It just keeps on going. The actual vacuum cleaner hasn't fallen apart like previously purchased brands and I doubt it ever will. It's built to last and extremely sturdy. I still receive the email reminder to wash the filter after all this time. It does everything I need it to do. I use one of the spare brushes for my car and it works a treat. I ended up buying the hand held DC59 as well and I have to say that works perfectly also. Review for that coming soon. Once you go Dyson, you will never look back. I just wish I'd bought one sooner. I still love it.

I usually hate cleaning and i leave it to my parents, however having now owned an upright vacuum, i do much more of the work. its easy to manoeuvre, sucks up much more dust than i have ever seen, and really does a fantastic job overall. The hose, despite being a great idea, is a bit hard to use because it always pulls the vacuum and slings back in shape. Despite that, i find this a great product!
